Polo Forest is a place where the beauty of nature and the stories of the past come together. Near the Harnav River lie the remains of an ancient city that is believed to be around a thousand years old. The city was built by the Parihar kings of Idar and later came under the rule of the Rathod Rajputs.

The name Polo comes from the Marwari word “pol,” which means “gate.” The city was once an important passage between Gujarat and Rajasthan. Today, only ruins remain, but they still give visitors a glimpse of its rich history.

The forest around Polo is spread across a huge area and becomes especially beautiful after the monsoon. The trees turn green, the rivers fill with water, and the whole forest feels fresh and alive. It is also home to many birds, animals, reptiles, and medicinal plants.
